As
part of the year 7 transition unit for R.E., we do a 'competition' based
team activity to test prior knowledge and build on team work skills.
The class is split into teams by the teacher, not friendship
groups, so they can build on new relationships being formed. Each team
is given a different coloured pen.
Within one minute the team have to share
their prior knowledge on the certain religion for that page and write as
much of that down as possible.
This continues until all 6 world faith pages
have been written on. At the end the prior knowledge is counted and the
winning team is announced!!
This is an exciting way of testing prior
knowledge of each separate faith and a perfect opportunity for the new
year 7's to work as a team with new peers building up trust!
