Flipped Learning in the R.E. classroom!

by Aimee King,
Lead Teacher of Religious Education

We have flipped the learning environment in S10 this afternoon.
As a starter activity we did some peer assessment and feedback on a GCSE question.
We then had a year 10 pupil, 'Miss' Bailey, step into Mrs King's shoes and become the 'teacher'.

She had researched the topic and was able to lead the learning of her peers. She was able to answer peers' questions and was even able to sanction peers for 'unsuitable behaviour in the classroom'.
This has been a hit and we are going to make this a half termly event where students will volunteer to be the 'expert' teacher!
