Flipped Learning with Quizlet

A constant dilemma for MFL is the introduction of new vocabulary. This is, of course, necessary but quite a low level skill in terms of simply understanding and remembering. It can be very time-consuming. Also, as students get older, they become more reluctant to practise new vocabulary through repetition.

A popular solution has been to use interactive technology.
Quizlet is ideal for language learning as it includes lots of different practice activities. Students are assigned homework to learn new language through Quizlet and then apply this knowledge in the next lesson by developing their reading and listening skills. A quick Kahoot starter has also been effective to assess how well students have learned this language (see a previous post by Nicola Atherton.)
