Creative learning in RE

Aimee King, Lead Teacher of R.E. writes:
Year 9 are starting the transition into their GCSE RE course. A big part of the course is knowing the key beliefs of the two religions studied: Hinduism and Christianity. To help them remember these important beliefs we tried to learn them in more 'creative' way! Creativity ‘involves the use of imagination and intellect to generate ideas, insights and solutions to problems and challenges.’

Students were in small groups and were given various ‘materials’ to use including; musical instruments, modeling clay, Lego figures and a 1990’s playground game I remembered how to make!!

All students enjoyed this way of learning their keywords and it just goes to show that you don't have to be in primary school to be creative!
