Why use a WAGOLL wall? It is an excellent way of showing students what a good presentation should look like in their books. The one I use also includes key geographical skills like annotation and the laying out of case studies, which are adaptable in a variety of departments. Students are given the opportunity to look at the wall if they are unsure on how they should structure their work.
I also use the command word banner all the time in lessons, particularly in KS4. When looking at exam questions I will ask "what does "account for" mean?" and students will actively turn around and look at the banner to help them interpret the question. This has helped year 11s a lot, as fewer and fewer of them still need to check the meanings.
