Keys for needs

By F. Bate, SENCO

The SEND department designed these ‘keys for Needs’ to open up the doors or barriers to the main SEND strands of needs. On one side is the tell-tale signs to spot the needs and on the other is suggested strategies to support the students with their needs.

They are generalised strategies because, as we know, each student is an individual; they have a personalised way of working, but they will unlock some of their world and not make the mystery of SEND a barrier to ‘Quality First Teaching’ in the classroom.
