By K. Parr, Lead Teacher of Geography
Last year saw the Geography department working very hard to apply for the Secondary Geographical Association (GA) Quality Mark. This award was achieved through evidencing the many different things that we do in Geography- from teaching and learning, our experience trips, to how we meet the needs of different cohorts and how we promote Geography within the School environment.
This award puts the department at the forefront of Geography Education and promotes Geography outside of the classroom and across the country. By achieving the award we are eligible for three years to be in association with the GA and we will then be able to apply for excellence status.
The department is going to be continuing our hard work to promote teaching and learning and differentiation across the cohorts and we hope that we can inspire others to do so too.
