Over the weekend, there were headlines about the reduction in size of Terry's chocolate oranges. This was a perfect opportunity to revisit a recent topic that we had studied in year 10: 'Volume and surface areas of Spheres'.
Over the weekend, there were headlines about the reduction in size of Terry's chocolate oranges. This was a perfect opportunity to revisit a recent topic that we had studied in year 10: 'Volume and surface areas of Spheres'.
Students were eager to tackle the challenging sphere starter, because it was a current interesting affair. I found that they could relate the values in their answers better than they previously had in other real life contexts.
