Rather than dictate the homework I wanted my Year 9 to complete, I decided to have a bit more flexibility.
The tasks are given a set number of points.
This homework can also be differentiated by giving each student a set minimum number of points they need to earn through tasks completed.
My intention is that this will help students to build on their independent thinking/learning skills as they pick the tasks they are comfortable with. It will also give me an insight into which students will perhaps need more support in future topics.
This has worked well as a home study aide, especially when I include a QR code so that students have easy access to the revision site.
