My extension tasks were not providing the stretch and challenge needed for our Gifted and Talented pupils; so I created Thinking Keys for topics. The example I've pictured is for the topic of Slavery. The cards are placed on the desk and when the pupils finish a task, they can study them and complete tasks. They can work alone, in pairs on in groups to discuss the words/pictures and their links to slavery (depending on the class, of course!)
