In order to get students more comfortable with looking at sources and to introduce them to the topic of hyperinflation I got them using inference grids with a selection of picture sources on the board. The aim was to get the students to move past the simpler questions and to ask/answer more in depth questions. This grid gave students the support needed to build confidence in their source work but also aimed to stretch and challenge more confident students.
