Setting
up your classroom as a crime scene engages all students and adds a bit of
excitement to their day!
In this particular lesson, Year 9 students had to describe
the crime scene first of all. Working in pairs, there was an activity underneath
each of the four clues. The activities can relate to your topic of choice.
Once
the students have completed the activity, they must bring their completed work
to you for teacher feedback and if everything is correct, they can receive the
first clue.
I chose to drip-feed the day, specific time, the weapon and the
perpetrator. Students were very motivated and keen to be the first to solve the
crime!
