Lead Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages
We have been lucky enough to have had a visit from Deborah Altenbeck, an English and Art teacher from the NIG Bad Bederkesa in Northern Germany.
One of the resources that Frau Altenbeck brought to our Year 7 classes was a selection of videos featuring students describing their lives.
Our Year 7s were very enthusiastic and wanted to send their own video messages back to the students.
The classes prepared short conversations in German and in English and used I-pads to send their modern day messages in a bottle to Frau Altenbeck and her English classes.
The enthusiasm for making new friends and conversing in a new language has been very exciting to see!
