Lead Teacher of Religious Education
After a discussion with my Year 11 classes, they told me they wanted to do more interactive revision whilst in the classroom.
I then devised 6 stations covering all GCSE course key concepts. The stations included a game of Taboo of words associated with the crime and punishment unit, a game of Snakes and Ladders answering questions about peace and conflict and a giant word search hunting for key terms in the religion and life unit as well as Jenga, GSCE question prompts and other puzzles. Each class was put into 6 random teams, with each team having a leader to take charge. At each station the team were given 8 minutes to see how much revision they could do within that particular unit.
All pupils were actively engaged throughout and took away the basics to build upon at home! Although it took a lot of planning and preparation - the results were worth it!!
