Using data to inform planning

Using data trackers and MERIT Software

This year in science we have using the Exampro software called MERiT. We have uploaded the pupil data from the mock exam and each teacher has their own unique log on to complete this. For each question you enter the mocks which they achieved then using this you can access diagnostic and comparative reports for your own class and also the whole cohort. Firstly, this is excellent information for the subject leader who can access areas for development for the whole cohort and direct their team to focus on particular areas or skills in class or session 6.

Secondly, the classroom teacher can look at their own class performance against other classes and identify areas of strengths and weaknesses for their class and particular students and create appropriate intervention strategies. Below is an example of the different questions and the percentage of marks achieved for those questions. If you click on graph the question can be viewed.

Finally, the pupils can receive personalized feedback using the software of topics they need to focus on during their independent study time.
