We've recently been using FlipHTML5 - a free site that allows you to to create ebooks for phones, tablets and computers by uploading PDF's or even your teaching PowerPoint's. 

We have used this to make digital copies of our resources, which students can access at home to help with independent study. All they do is scan the QR code (which the site will generate for you), or a hyperlink you can share with your students and presto! Quick and easy access.
